Brutal Legend Soundtrack For Mac

For the first time we can now get an in-depth glimpse at the music that’ll be available in Brutal Legend, thanks to a playlist that’s been posted on Electronic Arts’ official Danish site. You might want to check out the English translation to read the actual news post.

It’s a pretty sweet list, featuring an extremely wide variety of sub-genres. From what I can tell the tracks have been chosen quite smartly in that most will definitely appeal to those of us into metal, yet the many people playing Brutal Legend who aren’t should still be able to enjoy the lighter, more melodic tracks. Presumably you’ll be able to filter them by style through the Deuce’s radio.

  1. Bishop of Hexen - A Serpentine Crave Game: Brutal Legend.
  2. It has also been announced that Brutal Legend was the official sponsor of the 2009 Mastodon/Dethklok tour. Schafer appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on October 2, 2009 to promote the game. Black appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! On October 14, 2009, dressed as Eddie Riggs and staying in character during his interview.

As for Brutal Legend. Yeah, there is no way in hell that you're going to get a single package containing 107 different songs from 75 bands. That is a licensing nightmare, and frankly I'm amazed that they got all that for the game, let alone for separate album sales. One thing to note is that EA’s site introduces these tracks with the word “including”, which is an implication that there may be more tracks than this in the final cut once any licensing negotiations are done.

And of course let’s not forget that the venerable Peter McConnell will be composing music for Brutal Legend, which we’ve briefly heard during the cutscenes in the commentary videos. Equally looking forward to hearing more of that, personally!

The full track list is below, and thanks to space observatory-eyed Potatoe Sam for letting us know about this so quickly. Always a good idea to check BRUTAL!’s many comments for cutting-edge tidbits!

Tim Schafer and the rest of the talented development team at Double Fine Productions are responsible for crafting some incredible games. The studio delved into the world of platforming with Psychonauts, produced a traditional RPG in Costume Quest, and developed a classic point-and-click adventure title called Broken Age. Double Fine's next project is the long-awaited sequel to the first Psychonauts game, which is officially slated to be published by Xbox Game Studios.

One of the Double Fine's other significant releases made headlines before, during, and after its release. The game was expected to be so huge that it even managed to grab the cover spot for the November 2007 issue of Game Informer. Plenty of hype was attached to the game thanks to the inclusion of a lovable actor lending his vocal talents to the main character, numerous rock and roll legends, and a soundtrack full of hardcore tunes.

The game follows Eddie Riggs (voiced by Jack Black), the world's best roadie who just so happens to work for the world's worst heavy metal band. After an accident takes place and knocks the roadie out, Eddie comes to and finds himself within the aforementioned metal-infused world. Eddie eventually learns that his new home is full of humans being enslaved by demons. In a bid to free the human race, Eddie groups up with some fellow metalheads to save the day.

Joining the human resistance gives players the chance to interact with recognizable rock and roll legends, such as Ozzy Osbourne. As players used their axe and guitar to take down waves of demons, as well as command legions of fellow headbangers, Brutal Legends' rocking soundtrack would blare in the background. Licensed metal tunes added excitement to the game's fierce combat encounters and high-octane driving sections.
