Mac’s List is the regional job board for Pacific Northwest professionals, featuring hundreds of local listings. We’re also a different kind of resource for your job search. As a Certified B Corp with deep Northwest roots, we’re driven by our mission to help professionals in our region find better jobs and build great careers. Welcome to The Pacific Northwest 19. This is a fictitious map loosely based around the Lewiston, Idaho and eastern Washington area where the Snake and Clearwater rivers meet. At the rivers there is a plateau that is high above, accessed by a winding mountain road.

NWMP’s is pleased to have John Chaffee of BusyMac as our guest presenter for the April meeting. BusyMac has recently released version 1.0 of their newest program for OS X, BusyContacts. It will now take its place alongside BusyCal as a great solution for those seeking a more powerful replacement to Apple’s Calendar and Contacts. John will demo the program for us. Here’s a great review of BusyContacts and interview with John.

In addition, we will also have a round table discussion about some of the various methods procedures, and best practices we as consultants and tech support providers employ when supporting our clients. For example, we will talk about if you require clients to sign a contract or some type of TOS. Does your company offer Managed Services? What type of intake procedure does your company employ? How do you handle billing?Do you use PayPal or Freshbooks for example?

Also, if time permits we can geek out on the new MacBook and also the Apple Watch, and discuss how we will be might be offering these products to our clients.

NWMP will also try and provide remote login for those members who can not be there in person. Send an email to newsletter@nwmacpro.com with “remote login” in the subject line if you are interested in participating remotely.
