RED Mountain has a new lodging offering that looks right up our alley. The Constella are six overnight on-mountain cabins that have access to a common clubhouse. The cabins allow for fresh tracks right outside the door.
I have two 2-person tents (I find that a 2-person leaves lots of space for one); a three season for spring/summer/fall, and the Mountain 25 for the winter. I recently purchased the Mountain 25 a month ago, and so far have been in the backwoods in a snowstorm, and in a windy overnight squall of ice pellets, freezing rain, and snow, and the. The prices start at $200,000 and a multi-family pod is going to cost around $2 million. Note: the company has recently stopped selling to civilians – more information here. Named Mountains, because it adds mountains, the DLC launched this week. It’s on Steam and GOG and whatnot for £4. Mountains takes the lynx family up into those spiky bits of land, from rolling lowlands to snowy peaks. Foxes, bears, and birds of prey are all over the place, and M&D say “Certain animals acts as both prey and predator. The world of Shelter 2 is growing. Mountains is an add-on package that introduces a vast new highland area and a strong new fauna that can act as both predat.
Situated near Paradise Lodge, these 6 overnight cabins each sleep 5 and give you access to the FTM Clubhouse situated next to them…oh and fresh pow right out the door too!

Evergreen woods provide shelter from winter winds while our eco-friendly cabins provide a cozy shelter for you and your group to crack a beer and catch up properly.

Each cabin sleeps five. Access to the central Clubhouse provides a warm hangout space in the afternoon with a fireplace and, come nighttime, the bar and its options for a light dinner mean you can also skip that usual hour-long conversation about where to eat! Throw in an optional light breakfast the next morning in the Clubhouse to start your day followed by stepping out onto the snow to get first-tracks down to the Paradise Chairlift, and you’ll be feeling like alpine royalty.
